Preparatory Stage

“In the garden of life, education is the sunlight that helps the ideas to bloom.”

The Preparatory Stage under NEP 2020 is the second phase of school education, covering Classes 3 to 5 for children aged 8 to 11. It acts as a bridge from foundational play-based learning to more structured, interactive classroom activities, focusing on interactive, activity-based learning to build reading, writing, and numeracy skills.

KEY FEATURES OF OUR PREPARATORY STAGE

Pedagogical Transition:-
This stage serves as a bridge between the Foundational Stage and the Middle Stage. It transforms the learning approach from purely foundational to more structured, yet continues to use games and, play, and interactive methods to keep students engaged. A shift from purely play-based to interactive, play, discovery, and activity-based learning, incorporating light textbooks and fostering curiosity.

Strengthening the Basic Literacy and Numeracy:-
The main aim at this stage is to make sure that all students develop solid skills in reading, writing, and basic math. These fundamental abilities are important because they serve as the base for all future learning.

Focus on Experiential Learning:-
On this stage we encourage the students to learn actively through hands-on experiences. Instead of just listening to lectures, students are involved in activities that allow them to explore and discover on their own. Experiential learning includes stuff like: Play-based Learning, Inquiry-based Learning, Project-based Learning

Our Focus is on Overall Development of the child:-
The Preparatory Stage isn’t just about academics—it’s about developing the whole child. Along with academic learning, we also focuses on emotional, social, and physical growth.

Connecting the Learning across Subjects:- Our goal is to show students how different subjects are related. Instead of learning each subject separately, students are encouraged to see the connections between them.

360- DEGREE EVALUATION:-

HOLISTIC PROGRESS CARD (HPC): Instead of just marks, report cards are 360-degree, reflecting a student's cognitive, affective, and psychomotor development based on peer, teacher, and self-assessment. It is a mind-set shift toward nurturing whole learners. With NEP 2020, PARAKH frameworks, and ERP- enabled digital tools, we deliver 360° evaluations that prepare students for real-world success. Because Education is more than marks—it’s about unlocking every child’s true potential. Uses a combination of formative assessments (class activities, projects) and summative evaluations (mid-term/annual exams) to assess students in languages, math, arts, physical education, and environmental studies. Key components include continuous, in-classroom assessments, subjective / objective blended paper.
